Compare prices on the map
Search a product and each nearby shop that stocks it appears with its price, coloured by how it compares with the cheapest on screen. Narrow the results by size, unit or what's open now.
Working end to end, in private testing in Brisbane
PriceMaps puts supermarkets, independent grocers, butchers and bakers on the same map, on equal terms. Search a product, compare its price at nearby shops, and find the cheapest way to buy your whole list.

The product
Supermarket apps compare supermarkets. PriceMaps is a free price map for everyday groceries that puts supermarkets and independent shops side by side, starting in Brisbane.
Search a product and each nearby shop that stocks it appears with its price, coloured by how it compares with the cheapest on screen. Narrow the results by size, unit or what's open now.
Every price says whether it was checked this week, this month or earlier. If a shop's prices can't be refreshed for too long, they come off the map.
Add items to a list and PriceMaps works out the cheapest way to buy all of it, across as many stops as you choose, and how much that saves on a single shop.
Confirm a price with a tap while you shop, or add a product or a shop we're missing. Prices that look out of line are held for review.
No shop pays to appear, to rank higher or to be shown first. Adding a shop is free, and there are no sponsored pins.
PriceMaps shows the shelf price you'd pay walking in, specials included. Online-only deals stay off the map.
How it works
A price map is only worth using if its numbers are honest, so every price goes through the same four steps.
Prices come from shops' own online price lists and from shoppers who confirm what they see in store.
Each price is matched to one shared product catalogue, so the same item can be compared from shop to shop.
Automated checks catch prices that look wrong, and flagged prices wait for review before they show.
Prices appear on the map with how recently each was checked. Every price stays on file as price history.
Business model
The comparison stays free. Revenue comes from people and businesses who want more from it, never from shops paying for visibility.
Roadmap
PriceMaps grows in nine stages, from a Brisbane price map to route planning, meal planning and sharing. Each stage is a technology readiness level (TRL).
Stages 1 and 2 complete. Stage 3 under way: private testing now, then a public launch in Brisbane.
Cost-of-living pressure and volatile prices show shoppers want clearer grocery prices.

Company
PriceMaps is built in Brisbane by Fanfare Commodities Pty Ltd, an Australian company founded in November 2024.
Henry Hack
Founder
Henry started PriceMaps after seeing how inefficient and vulnerable Australia's grocery supply chain is, and how hard rising prices have made grocery shopping. Clearer prices and practical tools for shoppers can ease cost-of-living pressure, and could transform how people shop for groceries. Henry leads PriceMaps' product and engineering.
